Uniform and gear checklist

  • Shin guards (under socks) and cleats
  • Water bottle labeled with your name
  • Soccer ball (see sizes below)
  • Weather-appropriate layers (no jewelry)

Hydration guide

  • Before: drink water during the day; small drink 15–20 min before
  • During: sip at breaks; hot days need more
  • After: water first; add a snack within 30–60 min

At-home skills (15–20 min)

  • Juggling ladder: right, left, alternating
  • Dribble cones: inside/outside cuts, sole pulls
  • Wall passes: 1-touch and 2-touch (both feet)
  • Turns: Cruyff, drag-back, outside hook

Injury protocol and safety

If you’re hurt or feel unwell: tell your coach immediately. MYSC follows our Emergency Action Plan and uses league concussion/cardiac forms in the Forms section.
